A good Genus Insight roll can stay in one preset while you level the board in another. Player Valhalls shared this approach in a November 1 AION 2 Global discussion: if a valuable line appears before Insight 10, keep it on your main preset and continue analyzing on a spare one.
Locking a line preserves it through further analysis, but makes each attempt more expensive. The spare preset can be rolled without locks. Insight level and EXP are shared across presets; rolled stats are saved separately. Once the board is leveled, switching back restores your saved setup. While the spare preset is selected, its bonuses are the ones in use.
Pet level 3 is a separate upgrade. Its collection bonuses still require that pet’s souls; Analyze advances the Genus board rather than the individual pet. The portal’s pets section lists class-specific stat priorities.
